Origin, creation and background, even if they are unintentionally mentioned, recognized or described could create bias in our cognitive processes. Everyone and everything has biases, we are not old positivist authors thinking that knowledge and reality is 100% objective. However we must recognize that they exist and that could or could not have an impact in the use of a particular tool. We can have gender, sexual, race or political biases so i believe we must address this biases, with a critical attitude evaluating them and exposing them to us and the public (users)

Traditional and modern maps, are still based on medieval, european perspective creating a distortion in the way we understand and locate ourselves on the map. The global South has been misrepresented due to the biases of the European explorers. However, a new tool can help us to redefine the map.
